It’s February and I’m already behind in my birthday card sending. The main reason being that I didn’t have any birthday cards made to send. Of course spending 3 weeks of the last month in Florida didn’t help either, but I sure did have fun!
To get some cards made quick this morning I stamped a full sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White paper with balloons & confetti, pulled out a One Sheet Wonder template and whipped up these fun birthday cards. Easy peasy and it took me about an hour from start to finish to make these seven cards.
It helped that I used the same greeting on a bunch of the cards. I put all of the bases together first and then added all of the greetings to finish them up. Sometimes an assembly line method works best. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to make cards. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! If you like quick & easy stick with that. If you like to add lots of embellishments… go for it!! Just remember that card making is supposed to be fun. When it starts to be a chore it’s time to change how you are doing things.
To make these cards I used Template #1 from my One Sheet Wonder Class. If you’ve never tried this technique before, this class is a great place to start. I’ll give you tips for stamping your own papers, show you exactly how to cut up your paper using the template and how to use each piece of pretty paper to make a card. Plus this class includes TONS of different card ideas using the SAME template!
