Floral Affection Embossing Folder

By | Big Shot, Cards | No Comments

When I first got my Big Shot years ago it really took my cards from nice to WOW! in an instant. While die-cutting has become one of my favorite resources, it’s really the embossing folders that did it. There is just something so elegant about a raised image and the Big Shot makes it so quick & easy to do that. This note card was made with one of the new Floral Affection Embossing Folders. There are 2 embossing folder in the pack, but so far this one is my favorite. At the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event last week there were display boards FULL of fun ideas!! Here’s one card that caught my eye… I’m going to say this is a graduation card, although it could be used for a variety of other occasions. My favorite part of this card is the Red Foil Paper embossed with the Confetti Embossing Folder. How fun is that?!? She loves pink and everything glitter so here’s the 10th birthday card that I made for her… People often ask me where I start when I make a card and I can honestly say it’s never the same place. For this one I knew I needed pink and I knew I needed glitter, so that’s where I started. I immediately thought of the stars background paper because it’s my favorite sheet from the It’s My Party paper pack. Why…

Mini Treat Bag Inspired By a Card

By | 3-D Items, Big Shot, Christmas, Gift Ideas | No Comments

When I saw this card by Jill Olsen I thought “I LOVE IT!!” I just loved the colors and design layout right away, but I thought the pom-pom trim might make it a little more difficult to mail… as in they would want to charge me more. I like to keep my cards pretty flat for mailing, but I immediately thought that this would make a great layout for a mini treat bag. And I was right!! Look what I made!!! I made a plain white bag with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies and Whisper White card stock, then…
