Scallop Circle Punch Wreath and an Advent Tree

Today’s projects were created by my sister, Johanna Wick.  She is the one who introduced me to Stampin’ Up! over 11 years ago! Johanna is very creative and used the Scallop Circle Punch to create this wreath.  She hand cut the ribbon and free-handed the Merry Christmas with markers.  Since she lives in an apartment, she didn’t want a real wreath and created this to hang on her front door. Decor Elements wall display

Well, I FINALLY got my new Decor Elements on my wall and I have to say that it was SO EASY and I love how the display turned out. First I taped the whole sheet on the wall to make sure where I wanted it. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my mother-in-law Dolores Taylor today!  Some of the family showed up for Saturday dinner at her place as a surprise and we had a fabulous time.  Most were smart enough to head home on Saturday night, but as a little bonus surprise our overnight visit turned into a weekend stay.  We got snowed/iced in and just made it home this morning.  The girls had a great time and I had a chance to organize her stamping supplies. Name Banner

        My daughter Rachel helped me make this banner for her room.  Our inspiration was the “happy” banner on page 23 of the Fall/Winter 2007 Stampin’ Up! catalog.  We used the Flowers for You Designer Series paper, Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals, some miscellaneous grosgrain ribbon and the On Board Simon Lower chipboard.  Rachel is only 3, but she picked the pattern that she wanted on each letter and traced each letter with a pencil.   I cut them out, used a glue stick to attach them to the chipboard and then sanded the edges with fine sand paper. …
