This card makes me happy. I love chevrons and I love these colors. In fact I really want to re-do my craft room in these colors! In the Stampin’ Up! world they are called Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Calypso Coral.
Chevron Paper: 4″ x 4″
Pool Party card base: 4-1/4″ x 11″
Circle Size: 2-1/8″
The more I play with the Layering Circles Dies the more I love them. You can layer plain circles on plain circles, plain circles on a scallop circle to show a little border, plain circles on a scallop circle to show a larger border or pretty much any combo you want. With 8 plain circle dies and 8 scallop circle dies there are a gazillion possibilities. True fact, I was a math major. (with a creative side and a tendency to exaggerate)
Anyway, this card is super simple and you should give this layout a try. Grab a piece of patterned paper, cut it to 4″x4″ and tape that to a card base. Now add a greeting. If you don’t have a circle, try a square or an oval or any shape you do have.
TIP: You can cut a piece of 12″x12″ paper into NINE 4″x4″ pieces and make 9 cards like this fast. Go ahead and try it. Happy Stamping!
