Masking Technique with Flowers

It’s the final day of Sale-A-Bration 2016 and the last day to get the What I Love stamp set. (Reminder: You can’t buy it but you can get it FREE with a $50 purchase at www.shopinkitupwithjessica.com) This has become my favorite stamp set of late so I thought I’d share one more card with you…

What I Love Thank You Card using the Masking Technique

Paper Sizes:
Whisper White: 2-1/2″ x 3″
Melon Mambo: 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″
Pink Pirouette: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Thick card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″

To make the leaves appear like they are behind the flower, use the masking technique. It’s a super easy way to make it look like one stamped image is behind another. If you’ve never done it before, watch this masking technique video to see how easy it is!

The background of this card was created by stamping the flower all over Pink Pirouette card stock in Pink Pirouette ink. Using the same color ink and card stock creates a subtle background effect. Try it!
