Sending Congratulations Cards

There are so many reasons to send congratulations cards. A new job, a retirement, a promotion, a graduation… I’m sure you can think of more. Each month I send some congratulations cards out to Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in my group that deserve a little congratulations for sharing their love of stamping.

Lift Me Up Congratulations Card

Circle Size: 2-1/8″
Hot Air Balloon Paper: 3″ x 4″
Night of Navy: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Mint Macaron card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

The base for this card was created with my Quick One Sheet Wonder Template. It’s so easy to cut your 12×12 pretty papers into 3″ x 4″ pieces so that you can turn ONE sheet of paper into TWELVE cards!! If you can’t imagine how, watch this episode of Ink It Up with Jessica TV and I’ll show you.

Tips for centering images in circles:

These stamps are clear-mount which means they are red rubber and I can’t see through them to know where I’m stamping. When that happens I always stamp first and then cut out my circle with my die or punch.

For this one I stamped the hot air balloon in Mint Macaron ink and then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to center my words over top of it. If you’ve never used a Stamp-a-ma-jig or you have one and can’t remember how to use it, watch this video.

After stamping my images I used a Layering Circle die to cut my circle. To hold your die centered around your image you can use the Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot or if you don’t have that, just use a little washi tape or a post-it note to hold your die in place.

If you are using a Circle Punch to cut out your circle, turn your punch over so that you can see your image through the circle in the bottom. That will help you center your circle around your stamped image.
