Look Who’s Back in Town!

By January 26, 2017Birthday Cards

We just got home late Tuesday night from a wonderful week at Disney World in sunny Florida. It was a nice break from the cold Wisconsin winter and a wonderful refresher for my creativity.

Rollercoaster

Our vacation scrapbook will be titled “Roller Coaster Hair, Don’t Care”. Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom is my favorite roller coaster ever and I managed to ride it 46 times last week. Yippee!!

You might be more excited to hear what else is back in town… the Stitched Shapes DiesThese came out in November and were so popular that they quickly went on backorder and then were not even available to order at all. But the good news is they are back and you’ll definitely want to add them to your collection.

Stitched Shapes Framelits DiesI shared last week on these Valentines how I’ve used a template and paper-piercing tool to get a similar stitched look around the edges but that took a lot longer. These dies do the cutting AND stitching at the SAME TIME!! Brilliant. Here’s what I’ve been making with them…

Tasty Treats Birthday Card

I was super excited to find that these shapes layer perfectly with the Layering Oval, Circle & Square Dies!! This makes them even more versatile!

This easy birthday card is just a piece of pretty ice cream sundae paper on the front of a card with a stitched shape greeting added to the front. Easy Peasy.

Here are the measurements if you need them…
Pool Party card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Sundae paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Oval: 2-3/4″
